Deloitte recruitment on PSG campus- 2010

So.. again..
we had deloitte at campus today..
good ppt session followed by a general aptitude test and some verbal knowledge test.. 60 mins , 40 marks... and guys NO NEGATIVE MARKS... i made tis mistake and eventually lost out on a great oppurtunity..
the ques were easy but each one needed a lot of logical thinking..
the flg are a few ques i remember-

1. let there be 100 statements written in a board..the 1st statement reads,"only one statement out of 100 statements is false". the second statement reads,"only two statement out of 100 statements is false", the third one is, ,"only three statement out of 100 statements is false", and so on.. the 100th statement reads ,"only 100 statement out of 100 statements is false".
How many statements are true?
a) 0 b)1 c)50 d)cannot be determined

2) four friends vote for four of their favorite movies. Matrix gets 2 votes, Alien gets 1, Tom n Jerry gets one and Alex gets not more than 3 votes. two friends vote for exactly different movies and three friends vote for different movie. how many votes did matrix get?

3) , 4) verbal ques testing english profieciency

5) 6) 7) data interpretation from table

8) - 14) read a passage and answer the ques

15)-20) ratio and proportion question, percentage ques, area of squares and triangles

21)-25) data interpretation from a given situation, like three frnds standing on a river bank and wishing to cross it. a bridge located at a distance of 2kms from where they stood. one jumps into the water and swims parallel to the bridge. others walk and after 5 mins the second guy jumps into the river and swims across. the third guy walks for 4 mins, reaches the bridge, walks over it, and reaches the secong guy in 15 mins. the two of them then reach the first guy in what time? what is the distance the third guy walks? etc etc

26)-32) some ques based on if ques can be solved given 1st statement alone, given 2nd statement alone, or both or none

33)-40) some more verbal and apptitude

Placements and the Stress...DeShaw at PSG-7th july 2010

The companies are finally here at PSG looking for the brightest talents .. I have been getting chances to attend for them .. Not yet placed but I am definitely exposed to a lot of things by now..
Listing the companies i attended for,

The first "real" company i have ever attended.. The atmosphere at the campus was amazing..It was the first company that visited the campus.. All the nine pointers alone were elligible.. Luckily I was one among them..
The pre placement talk started on time and we were taken through the various products and processes of the company..
This was followed by a written test..
The paper was didvided into three sections..
First was apptitude having 20 ques for 20 minutes.. The questions were really tough and required a lot of skill..
Next was a technical paper, again 20 ques and 20 mins.. Questions were on C,C++, pointers, arrays , Operating System and data structures.. Tough again
The third section required us to write a program in any language. to schedule tennis matches with N players and N/2 tennis courts. The constraints were that each player should play all the other players and no player should play more than one match..

Results were declared and as expected i did not make it..
Few students were selected to the next round of interview and finally 2 of them were recruited..
